AWARDED TO
Kobi Lane MPIA
Kobi was the standout candidate for the national award. The judges were overwhelmingly impressed with what he has achieved in such a short amount of time.
Kobi is a very active member of the Institute, and is a champion of, and mentor to, young planners in Queensland. Kobi has been an advocate for great planning outcomes through his work in academia, local government and even as a planning officer for the police force. He is particularly interested in the symbiotic relationship between the urban environment and its effect on mental wellbeing.
Kobi is deserving of this award as he welcomes opportunities to learn through experience, lift others up, and launch himself into the most complex planning issues of the day. As a volunteer, an advocate, passionate about regional local government and enmeshed in continual learning, we look forward to seeing how Kobi uses his profile as young planner of the year to lift our profession and advocate for young planners across Australia.
Congratulations Kobi Lane!
