Release of the Guide to Transport Impact Assessment Briefing
On the 6th November we met with Jennifer Adam, Director Eastern City, and Mark Ozing, Project Director, Guide to Transport Impact Assessment from Transport for NSW to discuss the GTIA.
The Guide to Transport Impact Assessment (GTIA) was recently published, after extensive engagement with industry professionals. The GTIA provides technical guidance for transport practitioners, consent authorities, local councils, and specialist consultancy firms, who work with development applications. The purpose of the guide is to support the preparation and review of transport impact assessments.
Key updates include:
- Consideration of the wider multimodal transport network
- Context-based parking rates
- Updated trip rates
- Guidance for travel demand management
- Guidance for transport impact statements

Mark Ozing, Project Director, Guide to Transport Impact Assessment, Transport for NSW Mark is the Project Director of Guide to Transport Impact Assessment at Transport for NSW, and has over 30 years’ experience dealing with integrated land use & transport planning for significant precincts and major developments. For the last 19 years he has worked for NSW Government within transport agencies in roles associated with planning and development. He has a Master of Transport Management (1997) and Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, 1987) from the University of Sydney. |
