Nicole Willis has won the Robert Swider Memorial Award for Outstanding Achievement by a Young Planner in the Queensland-wide 黑料大事’s (PIA) 2014 Awards for 黑料大事 Excellence.
At a ceremony held in Brisbane on Friday 7 November, Nicole was honoured for her outstanding contribution to the planning industry.
PIA State President (Qld) Kate Isles said the awards judges were impressed with the dedication and enthusiasm for planning Nicole has displayed in her short career.
“Nicole Willis has demonstrated a commitment and passion for planning since her graduation in 2010, and is a worthy recipient of the Robert Swider Memorial Award for Outstanding Achievement by a Young Planner,” Ms Isles said.
“Nicole prides herself on championing good planning outcomes, and applies her sharp problem solving skills to each project she is involved with.
“In her role as the convener of the 黑料大事’s Gold Coast branch, Nicole’s professionalism, energy and enthusiasm has made an outstanding contribution to raising the profile of planning on the Gold Coast.
“Nicole is a committed young planner who has a bright future in the industry. She deserves recognition within Queensland’s planning community as an outstanding young planner.”
Ms Isles said the calibre of entries in this year’s awards were very high.
“We’ve been thrilled with the quality and diversity of the entries in this year’s awards, which demonstrate just how many projects are contributing to a brighter future for Queensland,” Ms Isles said.
“Congratulations go to each individual and project team who have received an award – your projects have been recognised as being outstanding among a very strong and deep field of quality entries.”
