Sean is a town planner with extensive experience across the spectrum of strategic planning and development services. With qualifications in planning, law and arts, and senior experience in state government, local government and private consultancy in Queensland and the United Kingdom, Sean offers a rare balance of knowledge, skill and insight.

Dr Simon Bradshaw

Research Director at the Climate Council.

Simon has spent two decades researching climate impacts and solutions in Australia, the Pacific, and South Asia, previously with Oxfam and the Australian Conservation Foundation. He is a prolific commentator on climate issues and has authored numerous influential research reports. Simon is passionate about the role of climate action in reducing inequality and creating a brighter future for all. His research with the Climate Council covers extreme weather, bushfires, health, security and many other areas of climate science and impacts.

Glen Winney

President of the FCPIA, Managing Director of Win Projects.

A resident of Hervey Bay for over 40 years, Glen commenced his agency career in 1990 with LJ Hooker Marketing, where he specialized in all areas of new property sales, leasing and development. Glen was also owner of Century 21 Project Marketing QLD from 2000-2007, building this agency up from the start. From 2007 Glen focused on development with a wholesale property trust. Glen established Win Projects (which was previously traded as Knight Frank Fraser Coast) in February 2010 to the present day.

Glen’s major strengths are his local knowledge and expertise in the Fraser Coast property market together with his negotiating skills. As a resident of Hervey Bay, Glen has a vast knowledge of the industry through his work history which has included the building industry, real estate, development and project management. Over recent years Glen has specialised in commercial sales and leasing and development projects, while also working on larger specialised marketing programs.

Glen is also president of the Fraser Coast Property Industry Association for the last 4 years which is the peak body locally for property developments.

Amy Snyders

Graduate Architect, Keystone Architects

Amy has recently completed her Master of Architecture. With over four years of experience in the local industry, she has led various projects of differing scales within the Fraser Coast and Gympie regions. Amy brings a holistic architectural perspective having completed projects across multiple sectors. She has a particular interest in education and heritage projects, aiming to provide ‘future proof’ buildings and preserve the region’s significant history.

Originally from Brisbane, Amy relocated to Hervey Bay during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since witnessed significant growth within the Fraser Coast. Being a young professional living in regional Queensland provides her with a unique viewpoint, which she uses within the industry and community, aiming to increase youth retention and address the demographic issues within the region.

Outside of architecture, Amy is heavily involved in Surf Lifesaving, again focusing on the retention of youth within the volunteer organization, emphasising her dedication to community engagement and growth.

Kim Carter

Principal of Carter Cooper Realty

Kim is an industry professional that has been achieving record results in the Hervey Bay property market for over 20 years. Kim’s impressive results can be attributed to her highly approachable nature, undeniable integrity, and her passion for helping her clients achieve the best possible results. Kim has gained national recognition 8 years running as Hervey Bay’s Number 1 Agent (RateMyAgent) and consistently achieves the highest yearly sales figures for the region. Kim has also achieved a ranking to be in the top 100 agents in Australia and was recently awarded 14th top agent in Queensland for realestate.com.au in 2021. In addition to this Kim has a hands-on approach in ensuring that the Hervey Bay real estate market is represented strongly on a state and national level; Kim currently holds the position of the Zone Chair for the REIQ and is an Executive Committee member for the Fraser Coast Property Industry Association.

Cr Denis Chapman

Division 8, Fraser Coast Regional Council

Denis Chapman has lived in the Fraser Coast region all his life and represented A grade Rugby League in the region. He worked at Walkers Ltd, achieving a trade as a boilermaker and then working as a detail designer for heavy engineering, focusing on sugar, mining equipment, and rolling stock. He also served as a Senior Technical Advisor for Construction before becoming a qualified Building Designer, owning his own business for 21 years, during which he designed over 3,500 dwellings and commercial buildings across Queensland.

Denis worked in Central Queensland Mining as a maintenance supervisor and has been a Councillor for the past 8 years.

He was named Citizen of the Year for Hervey Bay in 2000 and the Governor of Qld awarded him a Centenary of Federation medal for contributions to the Community in 2001, He also is a life member of Apex.

He serves as club patron of the Maryborough Rifle Range, Bauple Progress Association, Burrum District Men's Shed, Wide Bay Burnett Cutting Club, and the Maryborough Masters Games. He has been very involved in the community, volunteering as project coordinator for the Hervey Bay Riding for the Disabled.

Denis designed and worked on the Bauple Museum Project, which has been running for the past 24 years, and served as the project manager for the 100-year-old Gundiah Hall refurbishment. He is dedicated to helping build a better community together.
