2019 PIA TAS State 黑料大事 Conference
PERIPHERY TO THE CORE
As planners we need to be a ‘Jack (or Jill) of all trades’. As planners it is important that we understand technical reports such as coastal vulnerability or natural value assessments, that we provide stakeholder engagement opportunities (in addition to statutory requirements), and that we review and provide advice around Cultural Value assessments and Cultural Heritage assessments.
And as planners we indirectly or directly need to understand the implications of decisions on housing affordability and the impact of large developments on our communities, such as the University of Tasmania’s transformation projects.
This conference is seeking to unpack these important and sometimes peripheral considerations in planning to ensure that as planners, we are achieving the best planning outcomes for Tasmania.
I look forward to seeing you in Devonport.
